Filipino Community Christmas Fair and Children's Party

Christmas is just around the corner! The KASAGIP Charitable Trust would like to invite you, your family and friends to the 2010 Filipino Community Christmas Fair and Children's Party with the theme “Paskong Pinoy” to be held on December 4, 2010 at the Heretaunga College Hall beginning at 3pm. This immediately comes after the Santa Parade in Upper Hutt.

This is open to all Kiwis/Pinoys/Kiwi Pinoys and other interested individuals in the Wellington Region or even to our neighbouring communities. Attached is the official poster detailing the activities beginning at 3pm. One particular highlight is organising a Christmas party to the children that will be attending the event, among other interesting booths to see at the Fair.

Christmas Lantern (Parol) Making Contest
As part of the festivities, there will also be a Christmas Lantern (or Parol in Filipino) making contest and Slogan and Poster making contest. Attached in this invite are the entry forms and the entry rules and regulations in PDF format. If you don’t have a PDF installed in your PC and can’t access the document, please let us know by emailing Rachel our event coordinator (rachel.pointon@gmail.com) or kasagipcharitabletrust@yahoo.co.nz. We have extended the deadline of Entries up to the end of November (31 November) to allow more people the opportunity to join. All entrants are encouraged to submit the forms as early as possible.

Booth / Stall Exhibitors
Those who are also interested in participating as a booth or stall exhibitor may also contact us to reserve your booth for a donation of 50$. If you are selling merchandise all income from the sales during the event will be yours. Attached is a letter which you can print and sign, return to us with the donation to confirm your booth allocation. Please note that booth size will depend on the available sizes of the tables on site.

Parol Fundraiser
Finally, another fund raising activity is selling of the Filipino-inspired Christmas lantern or "Parol". The PAROL is made of bamboo frame, with cello wrapping and decorated with crepe lacing, its approximate size (diameter) is 28 cms. All Christmas lanterns come in a variety of colors. (see photo)

For a minimum donation of 10$, you will be able to help support KASAGIP's various projects and causes and will at the same time enjoy having the parol in your homes. We are producing a limited number of units only for this year 2010, so Hurry and get your Christmas lanterns now.
